Marketplace switch guides
Test a move from one marketplace to another with the same $50 sale baseline, then use the checklist to decide whether the fee delta, audience fit, and workflow change are worth a real listing test.
Ground switch tests in the fee data
Switch guides model one route at a time, but the decision is easier when the fee baseline is visible. Use the Fee Index for same-input marketplace comparisons, Fee Changes for policy shifts that could affect a move, and Seller Reports for dated summaries of where reseller fee pressure is increasing.
Start with the migration guide, then cite the data asset when you need a shareable source for why one marketplace is worth testing against another.
How to test a marketplace switch
Start with fee math, but do not end there. A platform with lower fees can still lose if the buyer pool is weaker, the listing format is a bad fit, or the expected sale price drops after the move.
Use the same sale price first, then run a second pass with the price you believe the target marketplace can actually support. The useful switch is the one that improves net payout after both fee structure and buyer demand are accounted for.
