Tie margin checks to current fee data

Margin calculations are only useful when the fee model is current. Use the Fee Index for same-input marketplace rows, Fee Changes for recent policy updates, and Seller Reports for dated summaries before comparing margins across selling channels.

After the source check, run the exact sale price, item cost, shipping, and platform inputs here to see whether the margin is durable enough to repeat.

How to use margin

Profit margin shows how much of the buyer-paid revenue remains after fees and direct costs. A high dollar profit with a weak margin can still be risky if the item takes storage space, return risk, or repeated markdowns.

Use margin before sourcing repeat inventory. If a listing only works with perfect pricing and perfect shipping, the buy cost probably needs to be lower.
